BACKGROUND:
I was born in Long Beach California and pretty much studied there till 1st grade. My earliest memory of Long Beach was my mom cursing in Tagalog when my classmate hugged me. He was a boy. She freaked. I was 4. And that's also been a never ending theme.
I moved to Manila when I was 5 (I think). And was completely shocked by the heat. My mom forgot to inform me that I would be living here.... and my first day of school I cried. Not over the language barriers, but because they required me to wear a "uniform." See? I already knew the crap I didn't like to wear!! haha.
My sisters and brother moved to Manila a year after me. Then they started getting into the fashion/entertainment industry. Yeah, they are the main characters of my life story right now. Thats Teresa, Tina, Ro, and Jon... My family is so important to me. These cats taught me everything I know about fashion/ people/ the world/ life. They are my main mentors. Also my main bad influences (plus Sarah and Erika).
And also, I've probably met all of you through my siblings right?? :)
So I started modelling back when I as 17, coz I wanted to make money and do something else outside of college. (I get really bored when I'm just doing one thing.)
After I graduated, I travelled for a bit, bummed for a bit, decided to take a break on the whole model thing, and I dove into my first love- writing. I called everybody from the industry and I said "Hey, can I write for you?....."
Here's the twist. I called everybody BUT my siblings- they own/run STATUS Mag. Being the youngest, I was at this point in my life wherein I wanted to "do things on my own" so working for them wasnt an option. I still ended up writing for them though. And ironically, the most fulfilling jobs I've EVER EVER had were assigned by this magazine. So I decided to really join it. Now I am one of its editors. Working with family is pretty cool after all :) Okay enuf about work!

I want to seriously tell you about the trouble I've been getting into- which is ALOT these days. But my 'kuya' Jon might read this and tell my mother. So I guess not!
